what is a cottage bakery?
the simplest way to put it is that all the baking is done in our home kitchen. we are licensed by the county’s health department & we are expected to maintain cleanliness at the same standard of a commercial kitchen. we operate under a cottage license, a health permit & a food handler’s license.
-
where are you located?
we are licensed & operate in Orange County, CA. we are only able to accept orders within the state of California.
-
how do i order?
currently, we accept orders via the contact page. our menu is broken down in the menu & pricing page so you’ll refer to that to see what we offer. eventually we hope to allow for ordering directly on this platform but there are a lot of details we have to figure first! but reach out to us & let’s chat :)
-
how much can i order?
the smallest order size we offer is half a dozen (applies to cookies, bars, cupcakes, hand pies, scones & muffins) or a single (applies to cakes & pies). there isn’t necessarily a limit to how much you can order for an event, however, we do operate out of a home kitchen so we are somewhat limited. the most we have done for an event is 350 cupcakes & for another event 600 cookies. contact us with details about your event & we can see what we can do!
-
can i order something off menu?
potentially… we will never turn away clients but if it is something that is not our specialty, we will likely recommend you to someone who can do it better. now if it is an item we make just a different flavor, we can most likely make it happen. however, since we are a cottage operation~ we would need to submit new flavors to the health department so they can approve it & place it in our file. so if this is your case, order at least a month in advance to give us time.
-
how soon do i need to order?
this largely depends on the size of your event. general rule of thumb is to order at least two weeks in advance of your event. however, if you are needing desserts for a not-so-petite event (includes weddings &/or events that exceed 100 guests) or your order will exceed 10 dozen items ~then we recommend ordering at least two month in advance if not sooner. generally, a tasting is needed with events this large, thus time is needed to decide flavors, plan & prepare.
-
will you use artificial sweeteners or colors?
no! we try to go as natural as possible. if there is an issue with cane sugar, we are open to using alternative natural sweeteners such as honey or agave. however, there is only so much we can do as sugar isn’t just for sweetness but plays a key component in the chemical process of baking. if there is a color you are trying to achieve, we are open to using natural coloring methods such as utilizing fruits, veggies, herbs or spices that the good Lord put on this earth.
-
can you do vegan or dairy free?
unfortunely, at this time the answer is no. vegan/dairy free items are not something we specialize in. not to say this couldn't be an option in the future. but, in our experience with vegan or dairy free baking thus far, we value what butter, milk & eggs provide to the taste & texture of our items. there are much more talented bakers in this realm that we would be happy to pass you along to if that is what you are looking for.
-
can you do gluten free?
yes! for the most part. most of our experience with gluten free items is with cakes, cupcakes & muffins. we are always open to doing cookies & brownies gluten free as well. the only items we would have to say no to doing gluten free are pies & scones simply because these items are mostly flour & the gluten development plays such a key component in the deliciousness of these items.
-
how do i pay?
we accept most forms of payment. we accept cash, checks, zelle & venmo. we currently do not accept card but most likely will in the future. depending on your order you may or may not have to pay a deposit. for those details refer to the services page to see which category your order falls into.
-
pick up or delivery?
you are always welcome to pick up your order. we will deliver anywhere within Orange County, CA. however, a petite delivery fee is applied if you are outside of a five mile radius of our home kitchen &/or your order exceeds 10 dozen.

i've received my order... what now?
if you do not plan on enjoying your desserts immediately or within 3 hours of receiving: for cupcakes & cakes, we recommend refrigerating & pulling them out an hour prior to your enjoyment or event. for cookies, brownies, scones & muffins, we recommend eating as soon as possible but can be left at room temperature in an air tight container for up to 3 days. for hand pies/pies, we again recommend eating these asap but can be left at room temperature for a day (due to the jammy filling~it is a highly moist environment that can lead to soggy bottoms).
